Beaker and Animal are great and I also love the 'Mah Nà Mah Nà' muppets doing the 'Bismillah!' bit at 2.25.

I think they should do a follow-up: 'We Will Fraggle Rock You'... :op

Very clever, but it doesn't have body-popping skeletons or gyrating mummies in it, does it?

I'm in full agreement about the British Olympic athletes. Both the Olympic and Paralympic athletes put years of hard effort and training into what we witness in just a few weeks, and show pride and a refreshing lack of ego in what they achieve; something which I think has been lacking in the England football team until recently.

However, as spectators, I think we can be guilty of putting too much expectation on the English football team, with this ludicrous notion from some blinkered fans that we've got a chance of winning every competition we enter. Our calamitous failure in qualifying for Euro 2008 (which, in my humble opinion, made for a better tournament in our absense) gave us a reality check, as has the FA in bringing in Capello to shake things up.

Overall, Fabio's appointment has had a positive effect so far. He's brought a sense of no-nonsence discipline to the team and clearly has no time for playboy footballers and their WAGS. There's still a few issues to iron out (the Gerrard-Lampard compatability... yawn, our shaky full backs, the lack of a natural left-sided attacker) but we're starting to emerge from the gloom of the McLaren era with flashes of cohesive, intelligent football.

I also like the fact that Fabio refuses, as least publicly, to jump the gun regarding qualification for 2010, and is taking each game at a time. I'm sure if he was asked if we could win the competition, he would give an equally phlegmatic response. Ironically, he's probably the most likely candidate we've had in eons who could actually win the World Cup, assuming he can get the team playing consistently as a unit as they did against Croatia.
